“Hello, my name is [Your Name], and I’m a constituent calling from [Your City/State]. I’m calling to express my deep concern with the denial of due process and subsequent torture of Andry Hernández Romero and others as a result of the Trump administration's misuse of the Alien Enemies Act.
Andry fled Venezuela to escape anti-LGBTQ+ and political persecution, only to spend months in U.S. immigration detention before he was disappeared to CECOT, a notorious prison in El Salvador, without any due process. There, he and 251 men experienced unimaginable daily torture, including physical, psychological, and sexual abuse, and were kept incommunicado from their loved ones and their attorneys.
I’m asking [REPRESENTATIVE NAME] to hold the Trump administration accountable for sending people to be locked up and tortured, torture that was paid for using my tax dollars. I'm asking [HIM/HER} to join calls to repeal the Alien Enemies Act, to stop outsourcing torture, and to end third-country removals, mass deportations and unlawful raids so no one faces the same fate as Andry.
Thank you for your time and attention to this urgent matter."
